Take a deep dive into the practice of prominent artist Fiona Foley through a morning of talks that will expand your understanding of the history of the region.

Fiona Foley will be joined by HBRG Director Ashleigh Whatling on a floor talk of the exhibition Veiled Paradise, a collection of paintings, photographs, films, and sculptures produced over the last three decades, including a newly commissioned video work filmed on K’gari.

Then hear Foley in conversation with young Butchulla and Woppaburra leader Jade Gould, discussing the significance of these artworks being shown together for the first time on the Fraser Coast and the immense body of research that has informed her practice.

Between talks gain insight into the traditional uses of plants with a tour of the Butchulla Seasonal Garden with Bruce Phillips (MURRI TUKKA).

Meanwhile grab a coffee from the Running on Coffee van, browse our local Makers Market and enjoy tunes by Jon Vea Vea in City Park.
